Dev reveals more details about his character in 'Kabir'

Dev had the opportunity to work with some of Bengali film industry’s elite directors such as Srijit Mukherji, Raj Chakraborty, and Kamaleshwar Mukherjee. And now he will work with renowned director Aniket Chattopadhyay in the upcoming ‘Kabir’. The Tollywood heartthrob will also face a completely different challenge. This is the first time Dev will be seen in a negative role and it means he is ready to break all the stereotypes.
After keeping the characters under wraps initially, Dev started to give an insight into his character in ‘Kabir’ through the teaser posters, music tracks and finally the trailer.Dev assures the second half of the film will create a completely different mindset among the audience which can’t be compared to the first half. The titular character Kabir is a negative one with many grey shades. For instance, the trailer tried to show only Kabir has no specific religion because an extremist or terrorist doesn’t have a religion.
Ever since its announcement, the story has faced a wide range of speculation. Rumor mills started guessing what the protagonist is all about, whether Kabir is a nationalist, a militant, a social activist or a political leader and Dev says to know the real story you have to visit your nearest theatre on April 13 to enjoy the first-day first show of ‘Kabir’.
