Currently, actor-parliamentarian Dev is busy with one film after another. First, he wrapped up the much anticipated ‘Bomkesh O Durga Rahashya’ and then he immediately finished shooting for another big-budget film ‘Bagha Jatin’. Since the beginning of the year, Dev has been keeping busy with the much-talked-about biopic based on the life of Bengal’s one of the bravest revolutionary figures like Bagha Jatin. However, in between, he took a break from that film and completed the work of the Byomkesh film. He recently finished the remaining portions of ‘Bagha Jatin’. On Tuesday, he shared a post on social media along with the poster of the film. Not only did he post a picture, but he also penned an emotional note.
Taking to his Instagram handle, he wrote, "Playing the character of a braveheart who sacrificed his life for the country's independence is an honorable role for me as an actor. This will be a significant project in my career. I will consider myself fortunate throughout my life. Shooting concluded." Dev had to transform himself completely for this film, both in appearance and physique. He also did extensive research from the beginning for the Arun Roy-directed film.
In fact, during the Odisha shooting schedule, he suffered a serious eye injury. Despite that, the actor continued shooting. The Tollywood star’s look for this film has already created quite a lot of buzz among his fans. The film will be released in Hindi and Bengali simultaneously on October 20. This will be the first time his film will be released in Hindi. Every year, during Puja, a bunch of films hit the big screens. This year, ‘Bagha Jatin’ is Dev’s Puja release and the expectations are quite high for this period drama.
Meanwhile, in December the popular actor will be ready with yet another release. Titled ‘Pradhan’, the film is being directed by Avijit Sen and will reunite Dev with Paran Bandopadhyay after ‘Tonic’.
