Dev doesn’t believe in New Year resolutions as he feels resolutions are made to be broken. “I don’t believe in New Year resolutions as I have experienced that it stays for maximum one month. On birthdays too I don’t make many resolutions. Just that every day I pray to God that I am good to everyone and let all stay happy and healthy,” said the actor who is busy shooting for Abhijit Sen’s film
Tonic
. “I am enjoying the shoot of the film. Abhijit is a debutant director though he has worked in nonfictions but the way he is handling the film is praiseworthy. He is extremely sorted and exactly knows how to get the best from his team. And working with Paran da (Bandopadhay) is indeed an enriching experience. At this age his energy level is infectious. The way he adds to a scene is something I learn every day,” said the actor.
The film, Tonic, which revolves around father-son relationship also stars
Shakuntala Barua in a pivotal role.
Beside shooting for this film, Dev is also preparing himself for the mega period drama Golondaaj which is being directed by Dhrubo Banerjee. The film is inspired by the life of the father of Indian football
Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikari
.
Dev is happy that the audience has appreciated his character Chandan a care taker in Leena Gangopadhyay and Saibal Banerjee’s film Sanjhbati revolves around Sulekha, an old lady who lives alone in her house with her helping hand Phuli and Chandan. “The audience could relate to the film as it shows how loneliness grips people at old age,” said the actor.
