After almost a delay of two years, Kaushik Ganguly directorial ‘
Dhumketu
’ has a release date. If all goes according to plan, it will see a grand release on August 15 this year.
With
Dev and
Subhasree Ganguly as the protagonists, the upcoming movie is co-produced by Dev himself along with
Rana Sarkar. A rumoured tussle between two producers allegedly pushed back the release dates on several occasions over the past few years. Last year there were rumours flying around that Dev was not ready to start dubbing for the film and it apparently didn’t go well with co-producer Rana Sarkar. But now, looks like all the differences between them have been sorted out.
Also starring popular actor Chiranjeet in a grey character, ‘Dhumketu’ is expected to introduce
Tollywood
heartthrob Dev in a never-seen-before avatar. The actor reportedly will be seen as an 82-year-old for this film and he spent 7 hours for the prosthetic look. Flying rumours also suggest Chiranjeet’s character in the film may confuse the viewers.
