Debapratim's next is an Indo-American collaboration again

After completion of the Indo-US project,

Aro Ekta Rupkotha

, Debapratim Dasgupta has announced his next project,

Protibombo

. This will again be a collaboration with the American crew. The film will feature Anindya Chatterjee and Rupanjana Mitra — the same duo who worked in Aro Ekta Rupkotha. As of now, the shooting is slated to start in July this year. Meanwhile, the first project is scheduled to release first in the US and Canada by the middle of this year.
The story of Protibombo is written by Debapratim. “It is a story of two sisters — one is an American citizen and the other lives in Kolkata. While most of the cast is yet to be finalised, I want Rupanjana to play the character of the NRI sister. Anindya too will play a pivotal role,” the director said.
Debapratim, Rupanjana and Anindya were in the US to launch the trailer of Aro Ekta Rupkotha. “The trailer was launched at an auditorium in LA on February 23. It is a story of five friends who have dispersed to different parts of the world after college. Four of them get together and want to host a reunion in LA to surprise the fifth friend. Soon, the film turns into a thriller. Besides the Bengali diaspora, a lot of Americans attended the event too. Our trailer was widely appreciated and that gave me the much-needed encouragement for the second project. Despite being an American collaboration, I have got all the freedom one needs to making a film,” Debapratim told us.
