He had high hopes pinned on Rituparno Ghosh's last project,

, but it never saw the light of day owing to the director's untimely demise. And after a significantly long wait, composer Debajyoti Mishra's wish has finally come true in the form of

No wonder, Mishra, who will be flying to Turkey in the first week of May to record the film's background score and songs, is a happy man. ���The film revolves around an enigmatic singer who sings ballads in the midst of war to remind the soldiers of their family and friends. But as he sings on, the soldiers notice the newsy touch to his ballads and start wondering if he is actually a journalist. Quite an interesting story , actually. And what's more, the music revolves around war, so I think I can use what I had created for Mahabharat but never got to use,��� he said.

Revealing more about how he bagged the project, Mishra told us that he had met Satih in France in 2006 and they had connected well. ���Satih loved Bhavna Talwar's

Dharam

, for which I composed the music. And he made me watch his film, Istanbul Music Scene. I was stunned to see how sound he is musically. Satih is currently penning the songs using a lot of Sanskrit shlokas. The music of this film will be lyrical, as the film revolves around the ballad singer. But at the same time, there will be tone of mourning and loss in the composition keeping the war theme in mind,��� the composer signed off.
