Darshana gears up for her Tamil debut

Darshana Banik, who has her hands full with several projects, is looking forward to debut in a yet-untitled Tamil film. The film, directed by Ranjit Jeyakodi, stars south actress Bindu Madhavi, apart from Darshana. An elated Darshana told us: “The film is a thriller based on two sisters who come to India from London. The shooting is on in Ooty and some portions will also be shot in London.”
The model-actress who was recently in Mumbai to discuss her future projects is excited to work with Ranjit.She shared: “I am extremely excited to work with Ranjit Jeyakodi who has previously worked with Vijay Sethupathi. The film team is sorted, enthusiastic and talented. Bindu Madhavi is very sweet and hardworking and we have bonded really well since our first meeting. We shot in Ooty in December.”
This was not the first time that Darshana is in Ooty. She had visited the beautiful hill station back in her childhood. “When I came here as a child with my parents, my experience was not that pleasant. I suffered from altitude sickness and the entire vacation was unpleasant. I had decided back then that I will not visit Ooty ever. Earlier, we had come via Bangalore and the route was not comfortable. But this time we took a different route and luckily, I did not fall sick,” said Darshana who is also part of an upcoming Bengali film ‘Swach Bharat’.
