Darshana Banik shares her first look from her next release ‘Surjo’

Darshana Banik is gearing up for her next release. The actress, who will be seen sharing the screen with Vikram Chatterjee in their upcoming film ‘Surjo’, took to Instagram to share her ‘look’ in the film. Darshana shared a couple of snaps of herself as Diya in an Instagram post. Adorned in a salwar kameez, with braided hair – Darshana managed to win over her fans with Diya’s simplicity.

‘Surjo’, an upcoming film by Shieladitya Moulik, stars Vikram Chatterjee in the titular role. The film also stars Madhumita Sarcar as the female protagonist. The pre-teaser and motion poster of the film are already out. Along with that, the audience caught a glimpse of Vikram and Madhumita’s look in the film.

‘Surjo’s pre-teaser was released on June 12. On June 15, team ‘Surjo’ released the motion poster of the upcoming film. The pre-teaser of the film had Vikram taking a dip in a pristine lake and coming out of the water with a cigarette in hand. Unlike the pre-teaser, the motion poster of ‘Surjo’ features Madhumita along with Vikram. The duo is seen at the back of a truck on a highway. Vikram shared the motion poster on his social media profile with the caption, “All love is not blind. This love has its tinted goggles on. This love sees the world in technicolour!” It is evident from the poster that the film encompasses a journey that is full of adventures and experiences.

In the pre-teaser of ‘Surjo’ that was released a couple of days back, Vikram shone bright as the titular character. In the 15 second-long clipping, Vikram intrigued the audience and made them curious to know more about him.

‘Surjo’, directed by Shieladitya Moulik, is adapted from the well-known Malayalam film ‘Charlie’. ‘Charlie’, which starred Dulquer Salmaan, Parvathy, Aparna Gopinath and others, released in 2015,. The film shows separate journeys of Tessa (played by Parvathy), Charlie (played by Dulquer Salmaan) and Kani (played by Aparna Gopinath) and how they cross each other’s path only to leave lasting impact. In ‘Surjo’, Vikram will be taking over the role of Charlie, as Surjo. Madhumita will be seen portraying Tessa and Darshana will essay Kani in the film.

‘Surjo’ is produced by ‘Innovative Films’ and the film will have a theatrical release this year on July 19.
