Versatile actress Daminee Benny Basu is thrilled to be a part of Indrasis Acharya’s film ‘

Parcel

’ which releases today (March 13).

“It has been an honour to be on the sets. Indrasis and I bonded over Michael Haneke. When I read his script there was no doubt that I wanted to do the film. The name of the character is Arundhari. It is a very strong and difficult character. In a small framework, the character is very nuanced and layered. It is a thriller and hence you’ll never know what this character is up to. I had to put in a lot of homework in it,” said Damini while speaking about her character in the psychological thriller.

She also feels honoured to work with Rituparna Sengupta. “It is an honour to work with Ritudi. She just does things like that, in a jiffy. And she is very accommodating on the sets,” Daminee added.

Parcel also stars Saswata Chatterjee, Anindya Chatterjee, Ambarish Bhattacharya and others. The plot revolves around Nandini and Souvik, a happily married couple with a teenage daughter. Until one day Nandini starts receiving parcels containing photographs of herself, both old and new. This creates tension in her family, as she begins to explore her past wrongdoings in order to find out who the sender is.
