Kolkata witnessed a grand celebration of poet Joy Goswami's 70th birthday with 'Bikalbelar Kabita, Ghas Fuler Kabi O Abasarer Gaan'. The event featured a captivating performance of Jaydhara, a compilation of Goswami's poems, along with soulful renditions of his works by renowned artists.

Recently a program titled Bikalbelar Kabita, Ghas Fuler Kabi O Abasarer Gaan was organized at a city venue to commemorate poet Joy Goswami's 70th birthday.
Under the conception and direction of Shovansundar Bosu, 40 students of the academy presented Jaydhara, a compilation of Joy Goswami's various poems. The audience gave the poet a standing ovation. Joy Goswami recited his own poetry, shared anecdotes, and read from his memoir for an hour. This marked his first stage appearance after announcing his retirement from writing.
The evening's performances continued with songs by Shrikant Acharya, Rupankar Bagchi, and Manoj Murali Nair. Poet and lyricist Arna Seal recited Joy Goswami's poems Astrer Biruddhe Gan (Song Against Arms) and Kothay Amay Dekhle Pothom (Where Did You First See Me). Theater artiste Chaitali Lahiri performed to Joy Goswami's poems Shahenshah O Beenkar (Emperor and Veena Player) and Jai (Victory).
