To help specially-abled children, choreographer Avirup Sengupta organised a cultural programme,
Krishna Madhuri on Friday evening at a city auditorium.
This cultural programme was based on the story of Radha (played by Rituparna Sengupta) and Meera (essayed by Ananya Chatterjee) along with Shri Krishna (played by Avirup himself).
The story depicted the love and devotion of Radha and Meera, respectively, towards Krishna. The music of the dance drama was composed by singer Riddhi Bandhopadhay.
“This is for the first time two National Award-winning actresses — Rituparna Sengupta and Ananya Chatterjee shared the stage together and the reaction we got from the audience after the show was overwhelming. I am honoured to share the stage with such talented dancers like Ritu di and Ananya di. Dance is my passion and I am happy that I could put together a dance drama like Krishna Madhuri which depicted a love story,” shared Avirup.
