Chitrangada ties the knot with childhood friend

The wedding season is here and how. After the third wave forced them to postpone their wedding, Chitrangada Satarupa finally got married to her childhood friend Sambit Chatterjee on Sunday evening. In an intimate family gathering, the duo tied the knot through a registry marriage. According to sources, the ceremony took place at Sambit’s residence at around 6:30 pm and was attended by close friends and family members.
In an emotional post, Chitrangada’s sister Ritabhari Chakraborty announced the news. “My big sister got married today! Can I be any happier? You never know what an emotional roller coaster ride it can be to see your sister get married UNTIL you SEE your sister get married. Man, when did she grow up?
“@sambitc my jamai babu now and @chitrangadasatarupa are officially married! I wish these two a lifetime of happiness, madness and sunshine.
“Though we are gonna wait till winter comes to have all our dear ones at the wedding ceremony, for now in the eyes of government - They have been pronounced Man and wife,” she wrote.
Chitrangada and Sambit were scheduled to get married on January 9, earlier this year. However, the third wave of Covid forced them to postpone the ceremony. In fact, Chitrangada too suffered from Covid in December last year just before their scheduled wedding.
