The Kerala Story, has unveiled the teaser of his upcoming folklore thriller Charak: Fair of Faith. The teaser raises unsettling questions about blind faith, superstition, and occult practices rooted in India’s hinterlands.
Set against the haunting backdrop of the Charak mela, the film follows a community that believes the festival is their final chance to fulfil long-pending wishes. As rituals intensify, the teaser hints at disturbing practices and moral dilemmas, positioning the film as a dark exploration of devotion, sacrifice, and misplaced belief.
The film features an ensemble cast including Anjali Patil, Sahidur Rahaman, Subrat Dutta, Shashi Bhushan, Nalneesh Neel, Shankhadeep, and Shounak Shyamal.
Charak stems from a deep creative urge to explore the enigmatic grey zones of the Indian occult world, blending psychologically rooted characters with a visually unsettling traditional cult setting.
