Chaiti recalls her shooting experience with Rakhee Gulzar

It’s not every day that you get an opportunity like this. Obviously, Chaiti Ghoshal, who will be seen sharing the screen with Rakhee Gulzar in Gautam Halder’s Nirban, is elated. In fact, Chaiti had debuted in Aparna Sen’s Parama, in which she played Rakhee’s daughter. Nirban, meanwhile, will be screened in the Indian Panorama 2019 section at the 50th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) this November. Talking about her experience, the actress said, “I have to share this experience with you. When I went for the shooting of Nirban, I had no idea if Rakheeji would remember me. I went to her and asked, ‘How are you? You might not remember, but I worked with you in Parama.’ Instantly, she said, ‘Kemon achho, Chaiti?

Tomar

koti chhele meye?’ and I was thrilled. I had goosebumps. I was surprised that she remembered my first dialogue that I shot with her, ‘Ki hoyeche bolo toh ma tomar? Aajkal eto perfume kinchho

keno

?’ She is an amazing person.”

While talking about her character in Nirban, the actress said, “I portray a very interesting character. There are two phases of my character. One is the flashback and the other one is when I turn immobile. I did scenes of a wedding, in the rains and so on. It was a lovely experience.”

Chaiti is also busy prepping up for Lakshmi Puja at her home. “Babi (her son Amartya Ray) is working in Mumbai and I am busy with puja. I hope it goes well,” she said.
