Actress Chaiti Ghoshal of
Ek Akasher Niche and
Na Hanyate fame will soon be donning the director's hat. Her debut directorial titled
Nevermind stars Rituparna Sengupta and Amartya Ray. Rupam Islam will not only be composing the background score of the film, but has also lent his voice to the music tracks of this film.
The story revolves around a woman in search of something from her past and ends up at a bar where she meets a charismatic young bar singer with whom she forms a strange connection. It is an ensemble film told over one single day and night, connecting multiple parallel characters from a wide diaspora of Kolkata's society, tying them together in the bar called
Nevermind.
The film explores the cosmopolitan nature of Park Street and nearby areas as well as its ever-present underbelly. “But in the end, the film remains a story about the triumph of human connections,” shares Chaiti.
