Trina Saha set donated blood setting an example for others. Swastika even shared the photo of her blood donation with the caption: “Katha toh onek dilen, ebar ektu rokto din. Aar songe bondhu bandhobidero niye jaan.”
Meanwhile, singer Aneek Dhar, actors
Vikram Chatterjee and
Ankush Hazra are also doing their providing free lunch and dinner to the doorstep of several
Covid
patients around the city. “We have already served approximately 65/70 meals daily across South Kolkata. We are working on extending this service in north and central Kolkata as well. We are trying to use our fan clubs to start offering the same services across Bengal. In future, we are planning to do Facebook live shows to raise funds so that we can continue providing these free meals,” Vikram spoke to ETimes exclusively.
Vikram who had a low-key birthday on Sunday added: “I only pray and hope that we overcome these tough times soon. The list of people I’ve known succumbing to COVID is increasing each day. Almost every family is now mourning the loss of a loved one.”
