What is the monsoon without some madness? As the June showers lash the city, our celebs share some out-of-the-box ideas to make your rainy days a bit special. Here they are...
My mother and I love to listen to the pitter-patter of raindrops from our balcony. But this doesn’t mean I love to lock myself up indoors. I enjoy walking in the rain and of course, without an umbrella.

I have no problem in water-logged roads and mud. One more thing. Though it sounds cliched, I still love that unplanned bout of rain when I am with my girlfriend on the road. The sudden hurry to find a shade and wait there next to each other indefinitely is something I cherish.
RIDDHI SEN, ACTOR
For me, a perfect monsoon evening is one spent with friends over chai, pakodas and needless to say, good music. Monsoon brings out the dormant cook in me and I love to pull my grill out and whip up scrumptious kebabs. I also love going on long drives during the monsoon to the outskirts of the city

For me, monsoon calls for football matches at the Maidan. So what if you are sinking into the mud? Football in the rains is so much fun — muddy, grazed body be damned! Nothing like putting our sliding tactics to test and enjoying a football match in the grimy mud
SRIJIT MUKHERJI, DIRECTOR
Monsoon is my favourite season and it makes me nostalgic. I don’t think one is ever too old to dance in the rain or jump into a muddy puddle! Back in my younger days, I loved to play in the rain for hours, and had a ball in the muddy fields with friends. Given a chance, I’d love to relive my childhood and do all of it again

MIMI CHAKRABORTY, ACTRESS
Rain evokes nostalgia in me. I go back to my old albums and see photographs of my childhood days. Also, there are a few films, like Aranyer Din Ratri and Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne, that I keep revisiting on rainy days. And now I know why I repeat-watch these. In my schooldays, I watched these films on some impromptu rainy day when my school was called off. I also love rain when I am in the woods. I find that very romantic
