Celebs and their favourite monsoon memories

Monsoon evokes a strong sense of nostalgia and there's nothing like recollecting old memories on a rainy afternoon. Here's what we found out when we asked some of our favourite Tollywood celebs about their favourite monsoon memories...

2/6

Mimi Chakraborty

remember, as a kid, I'd wake up everyday during monsoon and hope it'd rain cats and dogs! I had morning school so waking up was a big challenge in itself. The rains just made it doubly difficult. I'd pray with all my heart that the school would declare it a 'rainy day' and I'd be able to enjoy a blissful day back home with khichudi and telebhaja for company! And of course, monsoon meant romantic songs on the tape recorder and getting nostalgic!

3/6

Nusrat Jahan

I love monsoons! Some of my favourite childhood memories involve the rainy season. Things were so simple back then. Didn't have to bother about the skin's well-being, soiled clothes and reaching shoot on time! Wish I could go back in time and relive those memories! Life today, demands so much more that there's no time for the little pleasures.

4/6

Srijit Mukherji

I grew up in Bhawanipur and it's infamous for waterlogging. But that was barely a problem. The best part of monsoon was playing football on the waterlogged streets near my place. The playground at the government complex we stayed in would be all muddy but that didn't matter one bit because football madness knew no bounds!

5/6

Abir Chatterjee

I am not particularly fond of monsoons. From the shabby weather that makes everything sticky and weird to exorbitantly long traffic snarls — there's nothing I like about this season. But yes, with much deliberation, I have come to like it — only a wee bit. It's the occasional snooze is something I enjoy.

6/6

Rituparna Sengupta

My favourite memory of monsoon will have to be from my school days. Those were the best days of my life. Imagine going to school and finding out that they have declared it a rainy day! On our way back, we would take our shoes and socks off and have step on every puddle on the streets. Back home, it was so much fun to gorge on khichudi and Iilish maach bhaja. We would also fight over ilish maacher dim! I miss those days — the hearty meals, endless adda and family bonding.
