They never made it official but Raj and Mimi's relationship remained an open secret in the industry. The noted director and charming actress were going smooth and just when everybody was waiting to hear 'I do', the breakup news came as a shocker. Despite keeping their relationship under wraps, the pair didn't hesitate to declare ‘I quit’ publicly. Raj alleged it on Mimi's affair with her Turkish friend but Mimi denied everything, insisting it was just a misunderstanding.

Before Raj and Mimi Chakraborty became the talk of the town, the renowned director was dating Paayel Sarkar, the leading lady of Raj's many films. Their relationship remained a secret until Paayel couldn't stop praising her director for his contribution towards her success. But it didn’t last long.
