Joydip Banerjee has started shooting for his next, a romantic comedy titled ‘
Archie
’. The film stars
Sourav Das,
Anirban Bhattacharya,
Alivia Sarkar, Amit Saha, Payel Roy and
Kasturi Chakroborty
in pivotal roles. It’s P&P Entertainment’s second venture after Shiladitya Moulik’s ‘Sweater’ which earned accolades earlier this year.
'Archie' is a romantic comedy with loads of twists and turns. Also, it has a strong message showing how in this modern era society women are often objectified. This film also shows how many women are supporting patriarchy and it eventually leads to domestic violence which is a burning issue in our society.
‘Archie’ further focuses on the ill effects of social media like how random social media posts can create major issues and lead to dangerous repercussions and even political mishaps too. This film will be an entertaining watch focusing on social issues wrapped in romance and comedy.
