Buzz: Mimi Chakraborty to share screen with Ali Fazal!

We already know Mimi Chakraborty is making her Bollywood debut with the Hindi remake of her 2017 Bengali hit ‘Posto’. And now, buzz is strong that the actor-MP will soon share the screen with versatile actor Ali Fazal. According to reports, Mimi will be seen in an upcoming Hindi web series, directed by Soumik Sen who has previously helmed critically acclaimed films like ‘Mahalaya’ and ‘Gulaab Gang’ and the project features ‘Mirzapur’ actor Ali Fazal.

Specualtion is rife that not only Mimi but another acclaimed Tollywood actor Anirban Bhattacharya is also a part of the cast. Interestingly, Mimi and Anirban shared the screen together in Debaloy Bhattacharya's film ‘Dracula Sir’. However, there hasn’t been any confirmation about the news yet.
Mimi was last seen in Mainak Bhaumik's slice of a life drama ‘Mini’ and up next for her is Arindam Sil's much-awaited thriller ‘Khela Jokhon’ which also has Arjun Chakraborty and Susmita Chatterjee in the lead. She is also playing the lead in Premendu Bikash Chaki's relationship drama 'Palaser Biye' opposite popular TV actor Somraj Maity.

Meanwhile, Mimi’s Bollywood debut ‘Shastry Virudh Shastry’ has an ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Neena Kulkarni, Amruta Subhash, Shiv Pandit and Manoj Joshi in key roles. The film is an emotional story of a young boy who gets caught in a legal battle of custody between his grandparents and parents.
