Ditipriya Roy just completed shooting for Ochena Uttam where she plays a character loosely based on Sabitri Chattopadhyay. The film also stars
Saswata Chatterjee, Rituparna Sengupta and Srabanti in the lead. “Sabitri di is one of my favourite actors and I feel honoured to play a character based on her life. I met her two-three times at the studio though I personally do not know her well.
I would love to meet her once,” shared Ditipriya, who will start dubbing for the film soon.
Ditipriya also completed shooting for Pavel’s Kolkatar Chalantika where she plays the lead opposite internet sensation Kiran Dutta. “The film has four stories running parallel. They merge in the end. Ishaa Saha, Saurav Das, Kharaj Mukherjee and Aparajita Adhya are also part of the film,” said the actress.
The actress all praise for
Prosenjit Chatterjee with whom she worked in Souvik Kundu’s film Ai Kuku Ai. “We have two-three days of shoot left. I must admit that working with Bumba mamu (Prosenjit Chatterjee) was quite an experience. He is a wonderful co-actor and extremely down-to-earth. I remember we were shooting at Bolpur during Christmas, and he got a special cake for me,” shared Ditipriya, who will start shooting for Aditya Sengupta’s film where she is paired opposite
Vikram Chatterjee. “The film is a road trip of two friends. We have already shot in Kolkata and will be travelling to the hills in March to shoot the rest of the film,” said Ditipriya.
