This is the first time
Jaya Ahsan will be seen in a psychological thriller. In Arnab Pal’s directorial debut ‘Bristi Tomake Dilam’, the Bangladeshi actress has been paired opposite actor Chiranjeet Chakraborty. Jaya plays the central character Bristi who suffers from a split personality disorder. Chiranjit has been roped in to play psychiatrist Dr Subrata Sanyal.
A large portion of the film has been shot in Kolkata and Jhalong, a place close to the India-Bhutan border.
The shooting part is almost complete. If all goes according to plan, ‘Bristi Tomake Dilam’ will release in September this year. Interestingly, ‘Debi’ which also stars Jaya Ahsan in a key role will release on September 7.Jaya Ahsan, who is excited to play such a dynamic role stated, “My character has a strong sense and has many shades in it. 'Bristi Tomake Dilam' is a completely different film. This is the first time I am working in a psychological thriller. I have learned a lot of things from my co-actors.”
Apart from Jaya and Chiranjeet in the lead,
Subrata Dutta will be seen as a special investigation officer and
Rajatava Dutta plays his assistant. Badshah Maitra, Rajesh Sharma and Sonali Chatterjee will also play pivotal roles.
