‘Boudi Canteen’: Subhashree’s new look impresses one and all
Ever since the film was announced it created a buzz among cine lovers and when the shooting kicked off Subhashree Ganguly’s adorable look as a middle-class housewife won everyone’s heart. Recently the official poster of Parambrata Chattopadhyay’s next directorial ‘Boudi Canteen’ was revealed and the fresh look of Subhasree’s character, inspired by India-born British chef Asma Khan, impressed one and all. The slice-of-a-life drama will also see director Parambrata as Subhashree’s husband and Anashua Majumdar playing the character of her mother-in-law. In the poster, Subhashree’s character can be seen posing in a food truck with her husband and her mother-in-law. Soham Chakraborty, meanwhile, can be seen as a kitchen hand as he reveals the film's crew on a blackboard. The story is about a married cook and Parambrata’s film aims to spread a message that a passionate woman can be successful doing whatever she wants to do and we can’t judge her worth comparing her to a man. While the plot will primarily highlight the married cook’s existential quest, it will also shed light on the husband's struggles with the criteria by which a man’s worth is judged in society. ‘Boudi Canteen’ is set to release in theatres during Durga Puja this year.
