The shooting of
Bonny Sengupta's Indo-Bangladeshi movie '
Mone Rekho
' has almost been wrapped up. The film stars the new face of Bengali cinema and Bangladeshi actress Mahiya Mahi in the lead. Although the romantic drama hit the floors mid last year, due to some legal issues shooting stopped in the midway.
Finally, director
Wajed Ali Sumon
started shooting again from last month and according to reports, the last leg of the shoot took place in Nepal. Last year several reports from Bangladesh claimed that Mahi allegedly demanded extra 3 lakhs from the producers despite receiving the full contract fee initially. But things were sorted out earlier this year.
The shooting has mostly been done in Bangladesh and apart from Bonny and actor Tulika Basu, the rest of the team is from the neighbouring country. The makers are eyeing an Eid release this year.
Bonny is now on cloud nine as his latest romantic comedy ‘Raja Rani Raji’ released on Friday.
