Haranath Chakraborty has started shooting for his next film, Daal Baati Churma (Chocchori), which is a romantic drama. The film stars the popular real-life jodi Koushani Mukherjee and Bonny Sengupta. For the first time, Bonny will be seen as a Rajasthani boy in this film. His on-screen name in the movie is Ananda Singh Chauhan. Koushani will play Barsha, a Bengali girl in this project and she plays Ananda’s love interest.
The film also stars Rajatava Dutta and Kharaj Mukherjee in pivotal roles. Rajatava will play Bonny's reel-life father and Kharaj will play Barsha's father.
“The film shows the fusion of two states — Rajasthan and Bengal. It is a grand film where we will show the culture, lifestyle, and food habits of both states. The romance between Bonny-Koushani is there in the film but the film is more of a family drama which celebrates human values and culture and religion of all states,” said the actress. She added, “People know us today because of commercial films. And this film is exactly that with all the emotions. I must say Hara da is a beautiful person to work with. He is super cool on the sets and with Hara da around, it is less of work and more of fun.”
Koushani just completed a look test for Avijit Sen’s Projapoti. “I am looking forward to working with Mithun da (Chakraborty) and Dev. That apart, I am also part of Raater Shohor and Subh Bijoya,” said Koushani.
