Biswanath Basu to play a serious role

Ekushe Pa is back again. And Biswanath Basu is happy to be a part of it. Talking about this project, which is based on Bani Basu���������s work, the actor says, ���������Directed by Raja Dasgupta, Ekushe Pa was hugely popular because of its youth connect.
And this time around, the project will be directed by Falguni Sanyal.���������Interestingly, Biswanath, who is more famous for his comic timings, is playing an out-an-out serious role in Ekushe Pa.���������My character is called Romuda. He is Emon���������s swimming coach,��������� the actor explains, adding, ���������I have rarely done serious roles. I have been in the industry for nearly 10 years and I want to start from the beginning.���������
The actor is sure that this will change people���������s perspective of him as an actor. ���������I have had people acknowleging me as an actor. But rarely have I been offered serious roles. This role will prove that there is another side to Biswanath too. Romuda is such a character who is the driving force behind Emon. He compels Emon to excel,��������� the actor divulges.
Explaining how he bagged the offer, the actor says, ���������The production house called me as the channel has repeatedly suggested my role for the part. After the initial discussion with Falguni Sanyal, I came on board.���������The shooting is already on. This apart, Biswanath is part of John���������s telefilm.
