Bishorjon’ team to return with sequel ‘Bijaya’

Kaushik Ganguly has good news for his fans ahead of the release of ‘Drishtikone’. The National Award-winning filmmaker is ready to bring the much-loved characters Nasir Ali and Padma back in his next. He is now gearing up for ‘Bijaya’, the sequel of ‘Bishorjon’. The social drama was one of the biggest hits of 2017.
While speaking about the sequel, Kaushik said that many people still ask him what happened to Naser Ali and the other characters from ‘Bishorjon’.
‘Bijaya’ will apparently begin from where ‘Bishorjan’ ended and will take the story forward. Interestingly, the original cast of the film will return in the sequel. In Bengali culture, Bijoya means the grand celebration at the end of Durga Puja following the bishorjon or the immersion of the idol.

In ‘Bishorjan’, it was the story of a Muslim man from India and a Hindu widow and their cross-border love story. Kaushik Ganguly's character Ganesh no doubt adds the cherry on the top. If all goes according to plan, the camera will start rolling for this sequel in May.
