Bidipta gets a wonderful surprise on her birthday

Bidipta Chakraborty turned a year younger on Sunday. Speaking to us on the special day, the actress said, “My husband Birsa (Dasgupta) stays in Mumbai now as he is busy shooting for a Hindi OTT project there. Last night, he landed in Kolkata to celebrate my birthday. I was surprised as there couldn’t be a better gift than that. My younger daughter also gave me a card that she made on her own.She also baked a cake with the help of my elder daughter, Meghla. Last night, my family, along with my parents, sisters, and in-laws, went out to have continental dinner and ice cream. We had a blast and cut a cake in the middle of the road,” said Bidipta, who is just back from London after completing the shoot for Sayantan Ghoshal and Anjshuman Pratyush’s films.
On Sunday, the actress had a grand birthday lunch at her parent’s place. “From five types of vegetable fries, mutton, chingri and payesh ma had cooked everything on her own,” said Bidipta, adding, “My birthday also started on a positive note as I signed Sudipto Chattopadhyay’s film, which also stars Rituparna Sengupta and Indraneil Sengupta in the lead. I’ll also be playing a pivotal character in the serial, Mithai.”
