Finally, good news for Bengali cine lovers and those who had actively supported Anik Dutta’s ‘Bhobishyoter Boot’ can now heave a sigh of relief. The social satire which was pulled down from Kolkata cinema halls and multiplexes after its release on February 15 is set to hit the theatres most likely by April 5.

After Anik Dutta and other film personals continued their protest against the decision to stop the screening of ‘Bhobishyoter Boot’, the Supreme Court on March 15 directed the State Government to ensure an unhindered screening of the film.
Now, producer Billy Chatterjee has said: “We are happy to see the State Government implementing the Supreme Court orders. We will return to the Kolkata cinema halls by April 5. Those who have been eagerly waiting to watch the movie will finally get to see it.”

Bhobishyoter Bhoot

’ revolves around a group of dejected ghosts. Both the story and characters are brand new. The film sees some of these ghosts take shelter in a refugee camp. In real world they all have been cornered and are confused about where to stay. Virtual world or real world, where would they find a place to live eventually, it’s a mystery!
The social satire stars Sumanta Mukherjee, Barun Chanda, Paran Bandopadhyay, Chandrayee Ghosh, and Kaushik Sen in major roles.
