Bhaswar Chatterjee recently completed 23 years of his acting career in the entertainment industry. The
actor
posted a picture from his first portfolio and wrote a post on social media, saying, “Completed 23 years of my
journey
as an actor. The photo below is part of my first portfolio and holds a very special place in my heart. It has seen my struggle from one studio to another, waiting to get an entry inside the floor to meet the directors and sometimes thrown out too. Overall the experience was nice and it has made me grounded. Thank you god, my parents and my well-wishers-I owe everything to you (sic)”.
Talking about his journey so far, Bhaswar said, “The journey has been a roller-coaster ride with its ups and downs but the love and affection I got from my audience is unparalleled. I feel there is a lot more to do as an actor,” said Bhaswar, adding, “My first shoot was for the serial Kanakanjali, directed by Bishnu Palchaudhuri, in the year 1998. It was a shot at a disco, where I played
Sonalee Chaudhuri and Priya Karfa’s friends. The first shot was where we all were dancing and it was a one-take okay. My first film was in
Hindi
. I was part of The Legend of Bhagat Singh in 2002, where I shared the screen space with
Ajay Devgn. Then in 2003, I did my first Bengali film and it was Tarun Majumdar’s Alo opposite
Soumili Biswas
.”
