Bengali celebs and their weird superstitions

You can call it strange, others can call it weird, but for these Tollywood celebs, their obsessions are absolutely normal. Even after achieving almost everything, there are still certain things that the celebs just can’t have enough. Check out these Bengali celebrities with weird superstitions.

2/7

Parno Mittra

The dusky beauty has lost 12-15 phones so far and is now obsessed with her new phone. Even if the phone is in the bag, she checks it every two seconds and holds on to it fearing she might lose it again. On several occasions, she keeps the phone in a very safe place and then completely forgets about it. Then the entire family starts searching for it, bringing down the house.

3/7

Saswata Chatterjee

Saswata Chatterjee has been an absolute freak keeping everything in order. Once in an interview, the actor said if things are not in their right place his skin literally crawls. He can't sit there till everything is in its place. His wife and daughter even remain on alert mode if Saswata is at home as he keeps putting things in order most of the times. He admits it’s an obsession, though he is well aware that it irritates his family.

4/7

Tnusree Chakraborty

The beautiful actress is literally paranoid about contamination. The slightest amount of dirt gets her hyperventilating. Given an option, she will be more than happy to spend the whole day just cleaning around. Such is the phobia that before entering her room, she makes her mom check it, so she can ensure no contamination is there. Compulsive checking is also her quirky obsession. She keeps checking whether the door is locked or an appliance is turned off if nobody is at home.

5/7

Nusrat Jahan

The Bengali diva deals with an obsessive-compulsive disorder. At home she spends the whole day cleaning, organising and reorganising the things. The habit of cleaning is so compulsive to her that if she is at a friend’s place, and it doesn’t look spick and span, she even starts sweeping the floors with a broom. There are times when Nusrat returns to home at midnight she rearranges her wardrobe if it’s not looking right.

6/7

Abir Chatterjee

The on-screen dashing Byomkesh, Abir Chatterjee, has an illogical fear of misplacing ID cards. Abir remains scared that he won’t find it at the airport when checking in. From tickets to documents, he checks everything repeatedly when travelling. Ironically, the ID card is always in his travel bag whenever he leaves for the airport. But he keeps checking the bag every 10 minutes till he reaches airport. Further, when travelling by car, he has a general habit of organising the car and keeps instructing wife Nandini where to put the bottle and the bags continuously, much to her irritation.

7/7

Prosenjit Chatterjee

The Tollywood superstar suffers from anxiety attacks every time his son Mishuk leaves for his hostel. It has become an unsaid rule that Prosenjit’s wife Arpita goes to the airport to receive their son when he is coming home and Prosenjit goes to see him off. Even the popular actor packs his son’s bag for the hostel and being a perfectionist he keeps packing and unpacking the bags all day and night. Once, when Mishuk was about to leave for hostel, his dad unpacked the bags at least 5 times to make sure he had packed everything.
