Nachiketa, a big fan of
Basu Chatterjee, considers himself lucky to have got an opportunity to work with him in the film Hothat Brishti. The singer-composer was heartbroken when he got the news of the legendary filmmaker’s demise in the morning. He said, “Basuda was one director, who never interfered in my work. He had asked me to pen the songs for Hothat Brishti.
I also composed the music and sang the songs. He used to send briefs and then it was up to me how I delivered them. He loved the song, Sonali Prantare, from Hothat Brishti, which was a hit at that time. He was a jovial man and has a distinct style of filmmaking. I loved his films as he was a great storyteller. I also sang and penned all the tracks for his film Chupi Chupi. May his soul rest in peace.”
