Barun Sobti and Rajesh Sharma team up for next film

Mitali Ghoshal, who won accolades for her documentary on Sourav Ganguly, is now set to shoot for her debut Hindi film, 22 yards. The film, which goes on the floors from July 16, will feature TV star Barun Sobti, Rajesh Sharma, Chaiti Ghoshal, Amartya Roy among others.
But why a film in Hindi, we ask her? ���The subject, penned by Samrat, is such that it should reach maximum number of people. Thus, I decided to make my film in Hindi. The film focuses on international cricket and how the agents, selectors, administrators, sponsors, media and bookies function ��� the roles they play in the business of cricket.
Barun and Rajesh both play sports agents. Amartya essays the role of a young cricketer. Though there is not much of the sport in the film, the climax will have an interesting match. Chaiti plays���s Amartya sister and Venus essays a sports journalist,��� informed Mitali, who just completed shooting a documentary on Prosenjit Chatterjee, tentatively titled Only For Cinema.
���Betting is so common these days. We���ve tried to show how the whole nexus functions, so that the authorities take a note of it,��� said Pradip Churiwal, producer of the film.
Barun, who is a huge fan of cricket, is happy to be a part of this film. ���I play Ron Sen, a sports agent. We will be shooting in Kolkata. I was always crazy about cricket. But these days, it���s a bit too much to handle (laughs). I lose track. MS Dhoni is my fave player. I like the way he conducts himself on the field,��� said the actor, before signing off.
