adda
' is perhaps unique to Bengal and Devayush Chowdhary’s upcoming slice-of-a-life drama seems to deliver all the sensibilities of Bengali culture and, particularly, of Kolkata with an interesting storyline.
With a refreshing plot the film has an ensemble cast including Soumitro Chatterjee, Sabyasachi Chakraborty,
Saayoni Ghosh, Indrashish Roy,
Sourav Das, Prantik Banerjee and Dipangshu Acharya.
‘Adda’ is a modern-day fable of four interconnected tales of love, friendship, karma, and catharsis. The film is about two naughty angels, Black and White, who come down to earth and spy in on the lives of four jobless friends, an aging freedom fighter, a struggling actress, and a self-righteous journalist in order to decide humanity's fate and in the process become witnesses to our bumbling attempts at happiness.
Written and Directed by DevayushChowdhary, ‘Adda’s music has been scored by Suvam Moitra and Joydeep T Banerji. The film has four songs rendered by Suvam Moitra, Prashmita Paul and Rishita Saha.
Interestingly,
Soumitra Chatterjee has lent his voice for one song ‘Shut Up’. As if the thespian lending his voice to a track was not enough, he decided to rock some dub step! Watch out for this one as the surprise package of the film!
‘Adda’, jointly produced by Naresh C Goel, KoeliGoel, DevayushChowdhary, KuheliDasgupta, KaivanSattar and Probir Chowdhury, is set for a theatrical release on September 13.
