Arijit Chatterjee is making a film on the band culture. Titled as ‘
Band-Hu
’, the film was announced recently in presence of the cast and crew including
Pujarini Ghosh,
Supriyo Dutta, Mansi Sinha,
Sourav Das, Partha Sarathi Deb and others.
The story revolves around a band consisting of Saikat, Arko, Jisha, Baju and Tanmay. When Saikat decides to leave the band others don’t want to give up on their dreams. However news of Saikat leaving the band disrupts the band’s unity and future. They fail to get even a small contract that they used to get earlier. So, the plan to dismantle the band and on one last trip together the members decide to go for a tour to North Bengal. What happens next forms the crux of the film.
While the story is by Arijit Chatterjee and Rajat Saha, the script has been penned by Pramit Ghosh. The film will go on the floors from October 14 and will be shot in and around North Bengal and Kolkata.
