Baghini maker announces new film

Nehal Dutta, who earlier made a film, Baghini, inspired by the life of CM Mamata Banerjee, recently announced another movie. Titled Jio Jamai, the film features Hiraan, Rajatava Dutta, Biswajit Chakraborty, Tulika Basu, Ishani Ghosh, Sumit Ganguly and Moumita Chatterjee in important roles.
Jio Jamai revolves around Diya, who works for Jyotirani Devi’s company in Vizag, which is completely operated by female employees.However, Jyotirani Devi’s daughter, Premarati Devi, was compelled to appoint a man as the company’s regional head — Aditya Roy. Aditya was raised by his uncle in the UK ever since his parents got divorced at an early age.
Adi finds love in his colleague, Diya. Being a young and jovial girl, Diya probably made Adi think that she belongs to a happy family. This thought got further confirmed when Adi got to know that her parents had completed their 25th anniversary. However, fate had something else in store as Adi soon found out that the reality was completely different, which also began to trouble their relationship. There’s more confusion when Adi’s uncle reaches Vizag. In order to save their relationship, Adi and Diya decide to put up an act, which leads to a series of the comedy of errors, eventually reigniting the lost love between Diya’s parents. The cinematographer of the film is Iswar Chandra Barik, while music is by Dev Sen. The singers who have lent their voices to the album include Bollywood imports Armaan Malik and Palak Mucchal, apart from Rayan Roy, Debanjali Joshi and Sirsshhaa Rakshit.
