Director Atanu Ghosh has finally wrapped up his documentary on the pandemic. Though he is yet to decide where he would finally release the 30-minute film, the director said that the documentation part has been done quite nicely. Atanu, as a filmmaker, believes that the world has not gone through such a crisis before and it is his responsibility to capture it.
So, he has made a documentary that talks about how the pandemic has changed people’s perception of life across the world. “I requested artists, social workers, filmmakers from across the world to send me their opinions on life during the pandemic. I have received some really interesting views from them,” he added.
Besides the documentary, the director said there are a couple of scripts ready and he is waiting for the situation to get better to start shooting. “Things are improving and I am sure to start shooting from next year,” Atanu added.
Meanwhile, Atanu is also worried about the release of Binisutoy, a film he shot in 2018, which is yet to be released in the theatres.
“There is no point releasing new films now. The audience should be more confident about going to the theatres. I will wait a few more months,” he added.
