Chit fund scandal hits Tollywood
Ashare goppo, directed by Arindam Chakraborty and starring Abir, Rudranil, Payel and Sampurna was slated to release on May 10. After Saradhagate, the chit fund-financed film ran into rough weather, which stalled its release. Now, producer Rana Sarkar, who had earlier promised to help those, who had been hit by the scam, has taken over the rights of Chakraborty���s film.���I have bought Ashare Goppo and am planning to release it sometime in Ashar (June-July). The film has a lot of potential. The unit had put in great effort to make this film work. It can���t just go waste,��� said Rana.
