Aryann on playing an evil character in Raajhorshee De’s thriller

In Raajhorshee De’s ‘Purbo Poschim Dokkhin Uttor Ashbei’ Aryann Bhowmik plays a negative role of Tenia who dupes a woman into falling in love with him, and then exploits her. Playing such a negative character undoubtedly takes a toll on you both emotionally and mentally. That’s what Aryann is feeling ahead of the film’s release.
“Tenia is such a remarkable character, the likes of which I’ve never come across in films or literature.We are used to seeing certain types of villains. But Tenia represents an evil force that is above and beyond such characters. He is not just evil. He is demented. Being in that head-space was extremely difficult. Not only for me, but for the people close to me as well. It affected my appetite as well. Thank God the shoot wrapped up in a few days, and I didn’t have to live under the skin of Tenia for too long,” reveals the young actor who is best known for playing Santu, the nephew of Raja Roy Chowdhury aka Kakababu in Srijit Mukherji’s films.
Raajhorshee’s film is based on Avik Sarkar’s best-selling book ‘Ebong Inquisition’ and has an ensemble cast including Rudraprasad Sengupa, Arpita Chatterjee, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Rajesh Sharma, Padmanava Dasgupta, Bidipta Chakroborty, Anyann Bhowmick.
The thriller will release late November.
