Arunima in Abhimanyu Mukherjee’s comic caper ‘Kirtan’

After a long time, Arunima Ghosh is part of a comedy film. She is playing one of the leads in Abhimanyu Mukherjee’s upcoming film ‘Kirtan’ which also has Paran Bandopadhyay and Gourab Chatterjee in key roles.

The plot revolves around the comic relationship between a daughter-in-law (Arunima) and father-in-law (Paran). The film will be shot in and around Kolkata in August. Gourab plays Arunima’s husband in Abhimanyu’s film which deals with the love-hate relationship between daughter-in-law and father-in-law. Arunima will be seen as a girl who is married to a guy in a north Kolkata family and has a four-year-old kid.

The actress is happy to be a part of a comedy film after a long time as she believes comedy is the toughest genre when it comes to performing and making a person laugh is not easy and the comic timings of an actor play a major role.

Arunima is also playing one of the leads in Arindam Sil’s film ‘Iskaboner Bibi’ wherein she will be seen opposite Parambrata Chatterjee. Apart from this, the actress is also set to play a detective in Sagnik Chatterjee’s upcoming thriller ‘Lady Chatterjee’ opposite Debasish Mondal.
