Arindam Sil will be directing a detective thriller based on
Mitin Mashi
, the fictional sleuth character by Suchitra Bhattacharya, on the big screen for the first time.
Koel Mallick will don the much-loved detective character, often called Miss Murple of Bengal.
And now, according to the industry sources, one more project is in the cards and
Parambrata Chatterjee will don the director’s hat for it. If all goes according to plan,
Arpita Chatterjee will be seen as Mitin Mashi. However, it will take time to start the shooting.
Parambrata has said he started working on his Mitin Mashi directorial long before Arindam Sil announced his film. Arpita’s name has cropped up already but we hear the versatile actress hasn’t yet signed on the dotted line.
Meanwhile, Arindam Sil will make his detective thriller based on the story ‘Haate Matro Teen Din’. Presented by Camellia Production and produced by Rupa Datta, the film’s music will be scored by Bikram Ghosh while Padmanava Dasgupta is penning the script.
