Arpita Chatterjee in Pratim D Gupta's short film

Arpita Chatterjee has carved a niche for herself which surpasses her identity as the wife of Tollywood superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee. Her captivating performance in debutant filmmaker Arjunn Dutta’s ‘Abyakto’, which will hit the theatres this year, has already been the talk of the town.
The movie, featuring Adil Hussain alongside her, narrates a mother-son relationship story where Arpita plays two different ages for the first time.Her impeccable portrayal of a 25-year-old and a woman in her late forties has received appreciation in all the festivals the film has traveled.
Beside ‘Abyakto’, the seasoned actress has a few interesting projects in her kitty right now. “For the past couple of years I have thinking about doing a play, since Natir Puja is the only one I have acted in and I promise it will happen this year. Also, I am playing a key role in Pratim D Gupta’s upcoming short film,” said Arpita.
She will also share the screen with Soumitra Chatterjee in Anik Dutta’s ‘Barun Babur Bondhu’. “I essay the role of Ritwik Chakraborty’s wife and Soumitra Chatterjee, who’s the central character of the film, plays my father-in-law,” added the pretty actress.
