Arpan Basak to make a short film

Director Arpan Basak is all set to make a short

film

titled

Malini

and the film is a thriller. The story revolves around a young writer Saranjit, who is in his late twenties. The established writer has already completed four novels which have been widely accepted by the readers. After the success of his last novel Malini, he leaves the life of

glamour

and chooses

exile

. Years later, a young journalist, trying to find a story, traces him down for an interview.

Supratim Saha will be seen in the

role

of Saranjit, while Rituparna Sen (Rii) will also be seen playing the role of Sreemoyee, the reporter. Interdisciplinary artist Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee was especially pleased with the

fact

that conceptualization and execution of the whole project was done completely by a young team.
