Arjunn Dutta’s ‘Guldasta’ to compete at IndoGerman Filmweek

Arjunn Dutta’s ‘Guldasta’ whose theatre release got postponed due to the pandemic is all geared up for its festival rounds. The social drama is now an official selection at the IndoGerman Filmweek 2020 in competitive section. The festival will have its 8th edition in a "real" film theatre at Babylon in Berlin from September 24 to 30.
With an ensemble casting including Swastika Mukherjee,Debjani Chatterjee and Arpita Chatterjee, along with Anubhav Kanjilal, Ishaan Mazumder, Abhijit Guha (special appearance) and Anuradaha Mukherjee, the film’s story encapsulates the journey of three distinctive women intertwined in a web of make-believe emotions.
Srirupa, Renu, and Dolly - their interpersonal relationships, their hardships, their agonies, and ecstasies are what this story is all about. Deceptive as it may come across, the story and its central characters come with various layers of sensitivity and pretence. But the beauty lies in their vulnerability and that there is always hope.
Bankrolled by Roop Production & Entertainment, ‘Guldasta’ was supposed to release in theatres on April 24.
