’, will play an important role in Arindam Sil's next ‘
Byomkesh Gowtro
’. In this detective thriller, based on Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay's ‘
Rokter Daag
’, Arjun has been cast as Satyakam, whose murder will eventually bring in
Byomkesh Bakshi
to solve the case.
While speaking about his character in the film, Arjun reportedly said this is the first time he is playing a ladies' man and his character Satyakam even has some negative shades in the next Byomkesh flick. He apparently believes it will be a big challenge to portray such a shady character and the best part is he always loves to face challenges.
Abir Chatterjee will once again play the role of Satyanweshi Byomkesh in ‘Byomkesh Gowtro’, while Sohini Sarkar will reprise Satyabati’s character. Rahul Banerjee will replace Ritwick Chakraborty as the new Ajit. The rest of the cast includes Anjan Dutt, Harsh Chaya, Priyanka Sarkar, Indrashish Roy and Anindita Bose. The film is currently being shot in Mussoorie.
