After Suman Ghosh sent an SMS to drop Arindol Bagchi from his Nobel Chor , the actor voices his disappointment
Arindol Bagchi is fuming and the reason is that he feels disrespected as an actor. The bone of contention is his casting in Suman Ghoshs Nobel Chor and being disrespectfully dropped from the project without any notice.

Says Arindol, After my telephonic discussions with Suman about a month ago, I was selected in a lead role in NC. I had visited his production house to hear the script. I was delighted since Mithunda was also cast in this film. The shooting was supposed to start from March 5 and I was mentally prepared for it. However, things took a different turn when Arindol received a text message from Suman. His message read: Arindol, due to unavoidable circumstances, I have to take someone else for the role. Lookwise, he matches with the character more. I am sure, we will work again. This is a great blow to me both mentally and economically since I had planned accordingly. I had also left a Swapan Saha film because of this. The mootpoint, for me, is not the monetary loss. It has raised the question of security for actors like us, who work in character roles. The role is now being played by Shankar Debnath.
When TOI got in touch with Suman, he SMSed us saying, Arindol is personally very close to me and he has been in both my previous films. In this case, we decided to cast someone else well in advance. Neither his dates were given to him nor any official confirmation. If an appropriate role comes up, I am sure we will work again in future. He is a good and sincere actor.
However, Arindol says, As an actor, we work on the basis of trust. I had gone over to his house and decided on the costumes and spoken about my on-screen mannerisms too. Our industry doesnt operate only on the basis of contracts. If actors are dropped this way just a few days before a films shoot, it sets a bad precedence. In future, whats the guarantee that hell cast me and not drop me at the nth hour?
