Actor turned director and
Arindam Sil will soon start shooting his next Indo-Bangla venture titled ‘Balighawr’. The film is reportedly based on one of
Suchitra Bhattacharya
’s finest works titled ‘Dheu Ashe Dheu Jai’ and will have
Santiniketan
(one of
Bengal
’s famous heritage sites) play a key role in the script.
The background score and soundtracks of this film will be in the able hands of Bickram Ghosh and Chirkutt. The cast includes Abir Chatterjee,
Rahul, Parno Mittra, Anirban Bhattacharya and Bangladeshi actors Arifin Shuvo, Nusrat Imroze Tisha and Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed.
The story reportedly revolves around the reunion of friends and broken relationships. Abir will be seen as a promoter who is a show-off obsessed with brands and Parno will play his wife. Rahul will reportedly play a professor at Dhaka University. Arifin Shuvo plays an unmarried character while Anirban and Nusrat Imroze Tisha will essay a couple who fought hard to get married only to find their union going through a tough time. The plot intensifies when the whole group plans a get together for the first time in 12 years in Cox’s Bazar.
The shooting of ‘Balighawr’ will reportedly start from next month in some prominent locations around Kolkata, Santiniketan, Dhaka, Chittagong and Cox’s bazar.
