Arindam on a location hunt for next Shabor

On Friday, Arindam Sil posted a picture on social media and wrote: “Miracles happen every time I am out with my team for a recce. And this time too the tradition continues. What might seem so very ordinary to all eyes, never knew that my search for something specific would end here. The house that you see at the background is where the great writer #SirshenduMukherjee use to reside once.And the location I have been hunting for since morning is for #TirandajShabor ( written by Sirshendu Da ). (sic)
When asked about this, Arindam said, “A slum area and a big lane play an important character in Tirandaj Shabor. Why and how the audience will know once the film releases. I needed specific temples, lanes and slum areas for this film and from Saturday morning we were on location hunt but were not being able to find it. Finally, late in the afternoon, we came across this place at Jodhpur Park where we got all that we were looking for in the lane. And later we came to know that noted writer Sirshendhu Mukherjee used to stay there. I will tell Sirshendhu da about this miracle which I feel is a divine intervention.”


The film will go on the floors from mid-November and will be shot in Maithon, Kolkata and Asansol. Arindam is happy that Saswata Chatterjee, who plays Shabor in the film, has lost weight and is now into fitness. “I am happy the way Apu (Saswata) is losing weight as this film has a lot of fight sequences and for that he has to look toned and fit. Judo Ramu will do the fight sequences keeping social distancing in mind,” said Sil.
