’ beautifully expresses the pain a mother and son go through after a conflict. What’s more soothing is
Arijit Singh’s soulful rendition which suits the composition and lyrics by Anindya Chattopadhyay.
The song is like a bridge between Tareq Ali (
Nigel Akkara) and Mukti Debi (Anashua Majumdar). The video shows Tareq has somehow hurt Mukti Debi and he has been told to stay away from the house. Tareq looks like ashamed about his actions and waits at the doorstep for Mukti Debi’s anger to cool down. He recalls the precious moments. Mukti Debi, meanwhile, wants to teach Tareq a lesson but after all she is a mother how can a mother eat peacefully when his son hasn’t eaten.
Manali Dey’s character on the other hand tries to convince Tareq to eat something and makes all the arrangements so that he can sleep.
The simple lyrics show a perfect portrait of a mother, an epitome of kindness, love, sacrifice and gentleness. The song also gives a sneak peek into the lead characters’ compassionate nature.
